When someone is having a progressed New Moon, what does this mean ?

Progressions are the symbolic unfoldment of development that astrologers use, along with transits, to understand what is taking place in a person’s life. The progressed New Moon is a phase in the 29 year cycle of the progressed lunation cycle. The astrologer maps out what 3 1/2 year phase a person is in of the 8 phases that correspond to the 8 phases of the Moon; New Moon, Waxing Crescent, 1st Quarter, Gibbous, Full Moon, Disseminating, 3rd Quarter, and waning Crescent, know as Balsamic or Seed phase. A person is having a progressed New Moon when their progressed Sun and the progressed Moon are conjunct, in the same sign and degree. They are in that phase for the next 3 1/2 years. It is a time of new beginnings, a time to trust your instincts, to follow the growth that is naturally presenting itself (from what had been seeded the previous 3 years). There is the emergence of new life themes, new levels of self embodiment. A new way of life is beginning. The sign that the progressed New Moon takes place in gives the flavor and unique qualities that characterize this 29 year cycle. The house that they are in gives information about the area of life that is highlighted. Any planets conjunct the new Moon or in strong aspect continue to give the astrologer more information about the nature of the cycle that will now unfold.

I am having a progressed new moon in Leo.
Both my progressed sun and moon are now at zero degrees in Leo.
I am hoping this is a good thing because i am a gemini and feel as though this fire air energy will work well for me compared to having my progressed sun in cancer where i felt shy and sensitive and off balance.
What can i expect with this progress new moon in Leo.

Hi Beverly,
The Progressed new Moon in Leo starts a 28 year cycle with a more outgoing, expressive, and potentially creative cycle for you. You will certainly feel the difference. A chart reading would definitely flush out the details. What house is it in? What are the aspects to it? What are the transits you are having now? The expressive Leo seeks wise embodiment of who you are, a potential strengthening of the heart center and radiating your individuality. Now you bring your talents to the community. It is a time of expression and action. For the Gemini it is freeing and very compatible with your temperament. Reflect back over the last 30 years to what you have learned, focused on, with the progressed Sun in Cancer, and integrate and bring that wisdom forward.

Hi Stella,
The progressed full moon takes you into a 3 year period of fulfillment of what began at the last progressed New Moon, 14 years ago. You can look back 14 years to see where that New Moon was in your chart and what sign and degree it was in, as well as aspects to glean its meaning. If what began and grew over the last 14 years isn’t bearing fruit, that it is a time of disintegration, of letting go of what was hoped for, so to bring greater awareness now to yourself and others, or your inner subject responses and the outer world you meet. Other transits and progressions at this time will help define the meaning. With the Progressed Sun in Libra in the 7th, you are in a 30 year phase of developing objectivity, calm reflection on relatedness, on balance, and perhaps feel the call to stand up for justice. As your progressed Moon moved into Aries you felt a new level of energy and renewal as you moved from water to fire. The question is how to you balance your need for independence, doing your own thing, with your need for relationship. With the square to Saturn in Capricorn, you are learning how to find structure and organization in your life toward your goals and your dharma in the world. The challenge is with outer authority, how do you relate with authority, with law, with institutions. During this time there is a new level of integration trying to be developed between all three, independence, relatedness and authority. I’m curious about the whole of your chart which will give more exact instructions.
