We start the year with the Moon waxing to full. In the early morning hours of January 3rd the full Cancer Moon takes place. This is a hyper-charged full Moon conjunct Jupiter in Cancer while it opposes the Sun Mars Venus conjunction in Capricorn. Jupiter opposed Mars creates big moves.

During the last several years, disruption, change, and uncertainty have reigned. 2025 brought us to the planetary formation “Aries Vortex”, where the fast moving trine of Uranus to Pluto brought upheaval, reversal, and disruption. Now in 2026 as we approach the first exact conjunction of Saturn and Neptune, on February 20th, 2026 brings us to the Saturn Neptune conjunction as a doorway, a threshold where the winds of change blow through and we step in and continue to shape new beginnings. “Crossing the Threshold” is the title for 2026 year.

Dec 4 – Full SuperMoon, 13 Gemini, 3:13 pm PST, “Cold Moon”

Under the full Moon in Gemini, connections and conversations are illuminated. Gemini can highlight both integration of polarities and also bring about greater extremes. Gemini is the sign of the Twins, one mortal and one immortal. This is the signature of the human, we of body and soul.

In the Scorpio time of year, we move into the deep. The daylight shortens and the night lengthens. We are drawn inward and feel this shift that carries us toward the ancient gateway of Samhain, October 31–November 1, the Celtic cross-quarter celebration. This is the time when the veils are thinnest between worlds, now echoed in our modern Halloween. A time to honor what has passed, to listen for what endures.

In the time of Libra, there is a pause as darkness begins to lengthen and we reorient ourselves to the shifting season. As much as the Libra time of year calls for finding balance and peace, we feel the intensity of this time, especially since Mars entered Scorpio on September 21st, squaring underworld God, Pluto, on the 24th.

Sep 7 – Total Lunar Eclipse, 15 Pisces 

On the day of this eclipse, sensitivities are heightened. Emotions may run deep, and we may feel especially porous to the moods of others or to the challenges of our environment. With the Full Moon in Pisces aligned with the North Node, empathy and compassion swell, reminding us of our shared humanity and our longing for connection.

Without a doubt the outstanding feature of the month is the Aries Vortex alignment; Uranus in Gemini trining Pluto in Aquarius, both sextiling the once in 36 year conjunction of Saturn and Neptune, now uniquely in Aries. As these outer planets shift signs we experience major shifts in our lives and culture, in our politics and systems.

This month, the Sun moves from Cancer into Leo, marking the radiant heart of summer. Cancer and Leo are the mother and father of the zodiac, the Moon and the Sun, the sacred marriage of yin and yang. 3 important planetary changes are taking place now and into July.

The month starts with windy Gemini, dispersing the blooms of spring as we transition into summer. Gemini is mutable, flexible, adaptable. Ruled by Mercury, the precocious youth, who is full of curiosity, quick moves and sudden twists and turns.

May 26 – New Moon at 6 Gemini – with 4 planets in Gemini, there is a quickening. We may find that lots of ideas are circulating and that connecting with friends is enjoyable.
