In the Scorpio time of year we fall into darkness, the letting go to Fall, as the leaves blaze themselves to the Earth. In the Scorpio time of year the lengthening darkness unveils the deeper mystery and reality in which we live.

This October 2nd Solar Eclipse will be an annular eclipse, (the moon will pass in front of the sun without completely covering it) bringing about a Ring of Fire around the darkened face of the Sun Moon merging.

The month begins, with the New Moon in earthy mutable sign of Virgo. This is a time to gather and ground ourselves, reviewing where we have been and setting the stage for what might be next.

Jupiter joins the Sun and Venus in Gemini, stimulating our interactions and the rapid movement of news and conversation, just before the Sun and Venus conjunct at 14 Gemini, a time for reset and new beginnings of creative projects.

Celtic festival, Beltane, (also known as one of the 4 Cross Quarter fire festivals) honors this Taurus time of year, taking place on May 1st, midway between Spring equinox and Summer Solstice. On May 13 the Sun conjuncts Uranus, and on May 18 the Sun conjuncts Jupiter. This movement of the Sun between Uranus and Jupiter is called, “carrying the light”.
