Inspiring Books

The Hidden Heart of the Cosmos, Humanity and the new story, by Brian Swimme, a wonderfully articulated vision of the relationship of ourselves, the Earth and the Cosmos in which we live, bringing forth a new understanding of who we are and the greater whole of which we are a part.

Also by Brian Swimme, Journey of the Universe. “I can’t imagine a more urgent book to read as we enter this revolutionary moment on the planet.” writes Terry Tempest Williams

Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer    “Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants”  A wonderful memoir bringing the reader into indigenous wisdom and the deep interconnectedness of all living things.

The Secret Teachings of Plants, In Direct Perception of Nature, by Stephen Buhner. Stephen’s book touches on developing heart perception and the nature of the heart as an organ of perception. It is through the “intelligence of the heart” that we have direct perception of nature, how we learn, hear, and communicate with the wisdom inherent in nature, inherent in the field in which we are embedded. Very informative and inspiring.
