Astrology for 2015: Hold the Vision, Create the Bridge
Music of the Spheres
Astrological Insights by Susan Heinz
My personal reflections on the year 2015 have brought me to a key word for the year. That word is Kindness. Kindness to each other, the earth, and especially now to ourselves. To cross the bridge into the new paradigm, requires the healing of shame. Shame is the left over from the old paradigm of the patriarchy. Now we move into the Aquarian age, the Era of Woman, the 6th Sun. We are called to live in and from the heart, as powerful conscious creators of our lives. This is one of the meanings of the coming Aquarius age. To do so we must touch the lotus of self love and acceptance within that boundless heart, which is universal heart of compassion, underlying all life, known as the Goddess or the Great Mother. Kindness is generosity to ourselves, cultivating patience, and faith in the powers of transformation which exists at the center of life, just as the heart does. The act of Kindness creates spaciousness in our bodies, our emotions, our minds, and soul. That spaciousness allows us to touch in with what is most meaningful to us and from there to direct our course and actions. Blessings to you in this year of 2015!
Astrology for 2015, “Holding the Vision, Creating the Bridge”
The year of the Horse thunders to a close in 2015, leaving dust in its wake! 2015 turns the corner from the last 3 years of growing intensity, and moves into laying the practical ground work that will carry us into the next 10 years. So much depends on our choices. Can we hold the vision and create a bridge into a better world? The Chinese New Year takes place on February 18th on the West Coast and shifts into the Year of the Sheep, which slows the pace, tends toward stability, prefers diplomacy, and harmony, radically different from the fast moving ride of the horse. Yet the intensity of the Horse will linger and unwind through the spring as we come into the last of 7 exact alignments of Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries. These officially began in June of 2012, but their influence started as early as May 2010. Pluto’s intent is transformation of the old and rebirth. It brings out old paradigm programming, polarized perspectives in the collective, releasing long held oppression, fear, shame and outrage. It exposes the hidden paradigms that have governed us and now must end. Pluto in Capricorn signals that now is the time governing structures of culture, society, and economies to go through a cathartic process of transformation and renewal.
In this gap between the ages, polarized forces hold the extreme tension prior to the death of the old paradigm and the growth of a new vision of who we are, and how we will live on Earth. We mustn’t identity with what’s polarized and a sense of separation but be witness to the labor pains now among us to birth that which has been gestating. This dynamic is held in tension with revolutionary, freedom loving Uranus, (March 16). Uranus encourages us to radical transformation and stimulates the highest vision, and wisdom, that our race can bear, that each person can carry and sustain. Uranus can attune us to possibilities at every challenge, dare the status quo of one’s own life and impel one to be courageous in action. Uranus rips away old paradigms of living and catapults us into the unknown where all possibilities reside. Here we must attune to stillness and listening, as intuitive knowing and direction becomes a large part of the new paradigm. The focus of mindfulness centers us within, through which a new humanity will emerge. The peoples’ voices will demand to be heard. Mars enters fiery Aries on February 19th and heats up this combination, adding fuel to the fire.
March is an explosive month. Polarization can be extreme. Aggression, and violence can erupt. Yet the cosmic instructions are clear for an alternative way of being. With Jupiter trine Uranus in the fire signs, we are called to new beginnings, thinking outside of the box. Jupiter enlarges these desires and attitudes, makes it auspicious for new, innovative, creative, and daring endeavors. Uranus supports us to crack open the social conditioning and noise that fills our field, and experience our connection to a larger way of knowing, to taking actions that are life sustaining both personally and globally.
July and August bring in a different energy, Venus retrogrades at the end of July, time to re-evaluate our values and relationships. Jupiter moves from radiant Leo into humble, efficient, problem solving Virgo. The conflict between world leaders may shift to some real problem solving. August 3rd, brings us to the 15th year within the 20 year Jupiter Saturn cycle, now at a crucial point, bringing crisis and pressure to change the way power has been held, specifically focusing on re-orientation of corporate national identity. The role the United States plays in the world is in a time of transformation. We are witnessing a national and political battle over what the USA will become, how capitalism will continue, how we relate to the Earth, and where power will reside, as we cross into a new paradigm. Pressures to our system will force new definitions of our military, economic and worldwide allegiances.
More emphasis will be on how to solve the world refugee problems, as well as conditions of our oceans and waterways. In September issues of idealism, religious, and philosophical beliefs, are once again polarizing through the government and culture. By November, facts are brought to bear on illusions and ideals, as Saturn moves through Sagittarius, and exerts pressure on bringing out the truth.
