The full moon in July is called the Buck full Moon, as the antlers of bucks (male deer) are in full growth mode. During this time of year I have seen herds of bucks grazing in the high Sierra meadows at Tuolumne in Yosemite.
The full Moon in Capricorn can ground our imaginings and longings, or show us where reality is very different than our hopes. This earthy Capricorn Moon supports us to feel into what wants to built, organized, or shaped into something new or real. Taking time during this period to listen to our deeper callings enables us to recalibrate how we proceed to find that fulfillment. It can be a time of casting away old judgments about ourselves that no longer serve us.
June begins with the Sun in breezy Gemini, highlighting energy that seeks connection, sharing ideas, the written and spoken word, and movement in general, whether of mind or body.
The full Moon in Scorpio rises on May Day, which the Celtic people celebrate as Beltane, one of the great fire festivals. Beltane honors the quickening of life, fertility, and the flowering of Spring.
The Libra full Moon rises on April 1st, when the trees are in bloom and the air is warming. The sign Libra, a Venus ruled sign, is known for its artistic sensibilities, an eye for beauty, and its sensitivities to harmony, proportion, and subtle resonance between beings.
Events are erupting quickly, decisions are arriving with profound consequences, and the emotional atmosphere of the country feels charged, unstable, and uncertain. Uranus, the planet associated with sudden change, disruption, and out of that, awakening, has been forming a challenging alignment with the Moon in the U.S. chart. Such alignments often correspond with times when the public mood becomes electrically charged.
In the stillness before dawn on March 3rd, a lunar eclipse, a Full Moon in Virgo, reaches its peak at 3;37 am, on the West Coast, as the shadow of the Earth slowly darkens the face of the Moon. Lunar eclipses often stir deep emotional tides, especially for those sensitive to the rhythms of the Moon.
The Astrology of this Ring of Fire Annular Eclipse, a threshold moment, and the dissolving and remaking of systems and structures under this Saturn Neptune conjunction on the 20th, in the very beginning of the wheel of the zodiac, 0 Aries, propels new cycles which are beginning. Stay open and grounded for the energetic shifts now taking place.
February opens under an illuminating Full Moon in Leo on February 1st, setting the tone with drama, passion, and the potency of expression. This is a moment of catharsis, an emotional crest seeking expression, and transformation is possible, especially when ignited, through Aquarius, by communities of engaged, concerned individuals.
